For Which Damages Can You Seek Compensation?

Medical Expenses & Permanent Disability

Compensation may be sought for additional medical expenses, surgeries, and permanent health issues resulting from medical intervention. Long-term health effects are also included in this scope.

Labor Shortage

If your working life has been disrupted by the health problem, compensation may be claimed for your loss of income.

Loss of Earnings

Losses of wages and earnings resulting from temporary or permanent disability are among the types of damages that can be legally claimed.

Economic Losses

Travel, care, medication, and other related expenses incurred during the treatment process may also be covered by compensation.

Decline in Earning Power

If there is a reduction in future income due to permanent health issues, compensation is sought after factoring in this loss.

Compensation for Emotional Distress

Compensation for emotional distress may be sought, taking into account the psychological effects of the experience, the pain suffered, and the resulting decline in quality of life.

In a medical malpractice claim, it is examined whether the doctor or the healthcare institution acted in line with the standards accepted by medical science, whether damage occurred, and whether there is a causal link between that damage and the medical intervention. Court-appointed expert reports play a decisive role in this assessment.

Evidence

The patient file, operation notes, imaging and laboratory results, consent forms and the records of subsequent treatment are the core evidence in a case. Obtaining these documents in full is the starting point of the assessment. Our information pages by type of treatment are in the Malpractice section.

Process

We calculate the limitation period according to the circumstances of each case and plan the application so that it is made within that period. Where appropriate, settlement options are also considered. No assurance is given as to the outcome or the amount of compensation; each case is assessed on its own circumstances.

Application

If you believe you have been harmed after a medical intervention, Zen Law Partners can review your case. If you would like your case to be assessed, you can fill in the initial assessment form or write to us.
